The Origin of Brands of The World's Electronics Companies

Many of us use computers, television, play games, or our mobile phone. No we know that there are brands of electronic products around us are very familiar in the ears, but how they can get the brand the first time? Here we see how they get the name.





George Eastman is the founder of the company in 1888. Eastman looking for a short name to be branded with the reason more easy to say and only refers to the product.Then he said that he liked the letter "K" because it has a strong and vivid impression than the other letters. After that Eastman would like to have a brand that begins and ends with the letter "K", after playing with the letter, he finally got a name KODAK



Nintendo name when translated in English means "Leave Luck to Heaven".Nintendo's name was actually feels more fit before they are wrestling in the field of video games, in 1889 has opened a Japanese card game called Hanafuda card design with images of flowers.

3. Sega


Sega started its operations in Hawaii in 1940 as a provider of standard game of pinball machines to entertain the soldiers of war. In 1951, the company moved to Tokyo, Japan and renamed itself "Service Games" to reflect the company's business in the field of game machines that use coins to meet the needs of American soldiers.In 1965, Service Games merged with Rosen Enterprises and its name was shortened to SEGA.

4. Nokia


Modern electronics companies such as Nokia in the first place is not a cellular company it is today. Firm established in 1865 is a paper mill located in Tampere, Finland. When the owner Fredrik Idestam opened a second factory in Nokia, Finland, he wants the city name into a brand name. The name of the town was taken from the name of the river that crosses the city, Nokianvirta River.

5. Toshiba

14. Casio

16. BenQ
